This Privacy Policy describes how Card Price Lookup (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Card Price Lookup Chrome Extension (“Extension”).

Important: Use of Card Price Lookup is subject to our Terms of Service. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to those Terms.

The Extension allows users to manually capture trading card images from content visible in their browser and retrieve market comparison data (“comps”).

We collect only the data necessary to operate the Extension.

1.1 Chrome Web Store Compliance

Limited Use Disclosure: Use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness.

2. User-Initiated Image Capture

The Extension does not automatically scrape or monitor livestreams or marketplaces.

Images are processed only when:

• A user explicitly activates the Extension, and
• The user intentionally captures a visible card image.

Captured images:

• Are transmitted securely to our backend service for identification.
• Are processed to extract card attributes such as player name, year, set, card number, parallel, or grade.
• Are processed in memory for identification and are not retained after processing is complete.
• Are not sold or used for marketing.
• Are not used to train AI models.

We do not claim ownership of third-party platform content.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account and Subscription Data

If you subscribe to a paid plan, we may collect:

• Email address
• Subscription plan information
• Subscription identifiers associated with our payment processor

Payment details (such as credit card numbers) are processed by our payment provider and are not stored by us.

3.2 Extracted Card Information

From a captured image, we extract structured card data including:

• Player name
• Year
• Set name
• Card number
• Parallel or insert type
• Grade, if applicable

This information is used solely to retrieve comps and display results to you.

3.3 Usage and Operational Data

We collect limited operational data including:

• Number of scans or comp lookups
• Subscription usage totals
• Request timestamps
• Error and performance logs

We use Microsoft Azure Application Insights to monitor system reliability and performance. Diagnostic telemetry generated by our hosting provider may include technical identifiers such as IP address for security and operational monitoring. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking.

3.4 Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

We do not intentionally collect:

• Your full browsing history
• Keystrokes
• Private messages or chat content
• The full contents of webpages

The Extension only processes content necessary to capture the user-selected image region during a user-initiated scan.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Identify trading cards from user-captured images
• Retrieve comps and sales history
• Enforce subscription limits
• Maintain system reliability
• Provide customer support

We do not sell personal data.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Payment Processing

Subscription payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card details.

5.2 CardHedge

To provide comps and historical sales data, we send structured card identification details (such as player, year, set, card number, parallel, and grade if applicable) to CardHedge and receive market data in response. No personal account or payment information is shared with CardHedge.

5.3 Cloud and AI Providers

We use cloud infrastructure and AI services to analyze captured images and operate backend systems. These providers process data solely to provide functionality and are governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

• Captured images are processed in memory and are not permanently stored.
• Subscription data is retained as long as necessary to provide service or comply with legal obligations.
• Operational logs may be retained for reliability and security monitoring purposes.

7. Platform Independence

The Extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any marketplace, auction site, or livestream platform.

Users are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any platform used alongside the Extension.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transmission and restricted backend access.

No system can guarantee absolute security.
